MacroCalorie is built to protect your privacy. In short: we do not collect, receive, or share your data. It stays yours.
None. MacroCalorie has no account to create, and nothing you enter reaches us. Your journal entries, profile (age, height, weight, activity, goal), and any foods you create are stored on your device and sync across your own devices through your private iCloud, which only you can access. We never see this data.
The app sends nothing to us. It uses your own iCloud to sync your data across your devices, which Apple handles under your iCloud account. The reference food catalog (CIQUAL 2025, ANSES) is bundled inside the app, so searching it sends nothing over the network, and you can use the app offline.
We use no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites.
We share no data with third parties, because we receive none. Your iCloud data is covered by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud settings.
We collect data from no one, including children.
Your data lives on your devices and in your iCloud. Deleting an entry, a food, or your profile in the app removes it, and the change syncs to your other devices. To remove everything, delete your data in the app, or remove MacroCalorie's iCloud data in your device settings.
